Getting TO/AROUND: It's not that hard to get here from NYC. Get yourself to Penn Station using any means, keep your eyes peeled for the Long Island Railroad concourse, its more like a windowless basement you some sicko would keep his DEAF MUTE slaves. Stand in front of the ticking destination sign fingering through the schedule stand looking for the MONTAUK schedule. The green ink printed schedule, should be read, and stared at because it can be a bit confusing of where to change trains if it is required. The usual point of transfer is Jamaica station in Queens but it does sometimes ask that you change at Babylon represented by a T adjacent to the scheduled time. Get on, and pass out, take a nap and ready yourself for a 1 hour and 45 minute travel. The conductor will rattle off a ton of indistinguishable townnames such as Patchogue, Islip and Speonk. In the mix you will hear MASTIC/SHIRLEY somewhere between Bellport and Speonk. Disembark after rolling in, now comes the barrage of TAXI DUDES par-laying with busted up jalopy's for cabs. Just tell them to take you to Smith Point, you will not be upset with this beach.

Getting TO/AROUND: A definite helper to getting around this place is a car. People here drive anything that runs, myself included. I was living in Brooklyn prior to moving here so my mobile still has a lot of Brooklyn flavor. Here's a list of what makes my jalopy so special.

1.The ultimate feature has gotta be the DUCT TAPE and CARDBOARD vent window. In Brooklyn my car would get broken into all the time and after a while I grew sick of replacing auto-glass as did my wallet. Thug Eminem wanna-bes would break the window, enter the vehicle, finger through my glove compartment, and take nothing, except the change in the console. I left one window broken so new-comers had an easy access point. For some reason after leaving it this way I never again had any visitors.

2.I arrived to the car to find a note placed under my windshield wipers that stated, "This car has been involved in a hit and run accident. Call the precint to find out more info." I walked the circumference of the vehicle to evaluate the damage and to my suprise there was only a 3 inch round puncture wound in the bumper. I called and didn't make a claim.

3.Sitting idol at a traffic light in Soho a biker pushed up along side of my car. A mother and daughter stepped in front of him resulting in the biker slamming the fornt brakes, endoing (back tire way in air) and falling spead across my hood. Major scratches added to the already high numbers. He waved to me and I waved him on.

    4. I think its a truck. I frequent Home Depot and put any material on the roof not worrying about the character it is adding to the top. Also speed bumps and pot-holes never slow me down. Even as I watch these LI princesses and Guidos go a mile an hour over these with there oversized gas-guzzling Hummers.

5.Its got over 175,000 miles on it.

The thing still gets me around though.

Back for another round of ratings on a well presented page. Interesting writing. Still want to take the ferry across from Conn., tour the wineries and find the indian reservation. I'll visit the old estate while there as well. Need a quiet place to stay.
