Favorite Thing: These land yachts are everywhere. As common as they are around the Island, they still amaze me when I see them cruising the LI outdoors. These few were grazing in a meadow in the Wm. Floyd estate. I did take notice though to the size of their droppings. For such a large beast the finish product is minute to their body mass. Little round turds in cannon-ball piles is all that their bodies waste. Stink is absent when stepped on, and it just dosen't have the same nomenclature as a dogs land-mines. Whats their secret?
Fondest Memory: If you are in the mood to see these monsters doing their thing in nature head to the Otis Pike Wilderness Area, the Wm. Floyd Estate, or the Wertheim Wildlife Reserve.Memory, but not so fondest.
Onetime, I sat, pants to ankles, atop the porcelien throne, sitting waiting patiently. I spotted what I thought was a piece of darker sand close to my pubic hairline. I, for some unexplainable reason relocated the piece of dark sand to my hambone or upper thigh. The sand started to walk, I had a close call of having a sexual experience with a DEER TICK. Lyme disease originating down there is nothing to brag about, I'm glad he didn't get to biting yet.

Favorite Thing: The parking lot is expansive. Asphalt sheet paved over dunes, painted with ribcage striping. Glass and used condoms collect in the protected corners at the 90 degree kick up that turns to curb. Step up over. You are closer now to the beach. You didn't forget your keys in the car did you? There are two passageways to choose from. Tunnels that transverse the entrance roadway. As children pass through they yell to hear the reverberations of their echoing yelp. Steps through and it opens to the ocean, the dunes, the boardwalk, the ladies in 10% garments and the men donning banana hammocks. You there, kick those shoes off.
Fondest Memory: Screaming and yelling to hear my own voice be thrown right back at me. Momma looking down at me with that "shut that friggin little mouf" look on her face.

Favorite Thing: There are a million photos of sunsets that all our trigger fingers rushed to capture. Everyone has their favorites and all have one that was not only burned in a negative but also carbon copied to the brain. The late summer sunsets of LI are unforgettable. I guess its the angle that the rays hit the earth, the skies ignite in quite a spectacle.
