His name is RIYADH. | really to fall in love with |
There are only two possibilities for expatriate women to meet that guy whose name is RIYADH and who has been the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:
1. Either you marry another guy working for or living in him. OR 2. you start working for him, preferably as a nurse
I have never ever wanted to marry.
After I trained and worked as a forwarding agent for ten years I made the best decision of my life by doing a nursing training. My main target during my first training year was already going to Riyadh after my exam. So I planned my carrer: After I had gained some post-graduate experience at home I went to Scotland to start working in a nursing home. Afterwards I went to London to work in UK's biggest hospital. London was a nightmare for me. I managed to find a belgium match-maker (agent) who found an employment for me in Riyadh (at Security Forces Hospital on a general medical ward for male Patients) although my post-graduate experience in acute care was less than the required two years.
The guy I lost my heart for or in hasn't let me down. My working for him, however, has been very hard and challenging. |

MOUNIR SHAMMOUN (Mike): Unforgotten forever This is in memory and appreciation of my good acquaintance MOUNIR (or Mike as called by Westerners) killed in Iraq on the 1st of October 2005:
I met Mounir, a US-Lebanese from Atlanta, in Riyadh. I loved Mounir for his happy, amusing and entertaining character. He lived in Romaizan Compound even at the time when one of his compound-neighbours (the US Paul Johnson) was taken hostage and beheaded in June 2004.
We all survived or were not directly hit by the serial-bombings and attacks on expatriates in 2003 and 2004.
After several professional and private disapointments Mounir went to Baghdad in April 2005 as an interpreter for the US forces.
On Oct. 1st while going to work with a collegue a spray bomb hit close to them. The collegue was dead immediatly. Mounir, unconscious since that moment, was taken to Kuwait where he died during an operation the next day. His cadaver was taken back to the USA.
His family in Lebanon was informed about his destiny one week after the incident. They took him back and had him buried in Beirut.
We do miss you so much
