"Rhode Island In Winter" lionreb's Profile

We don't have many high mountains or much skiing, but it does get cold.
People go ice fishing on frozen ponds. The scenery takes on its own
wintry beauty. Places that bustle
with activity in spring and summer
are more stark and desolate, and you don't have to worry about parking. It is quiet. We had plenty of snow this year for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing..

Wow! It's your birthday. I don't forget!! Your comments on my pages also deserve a rating for funniness. I laughed too. Hey - this is bigger than the frozen lake in Bowne Park. Do you skate on it?

Daniel, Thanks for all the comments on my pages. I haven't been to KGH in about five years. It isn't that far from FH where I lived. I could actually walk on a good day before I hurt my leg and heel. Am in California now and really miss Queens.

This reminds me of tip-up town at Houghton lake, Michigan! I learned to drive my car on ice on the frozen lake! What a thrill!

Thanks for the nice comments! Chappaqua was a lovely place to raise our kids.. life moves on. I do miss the NY winters a bit and the snow.

We used a Minolta Dimage for the "dry" pics and several single use underwater cameras for the "wet" ones. And you are right it was a fantastic trip, but I guess you could see that ^O^
