I have been in Berlin 5 times so far. Berlin is a place of controversy; it has a rather sick history, and you can feel it in you stomach when you are in Berlin. On the other hand, it offers unique places and people that you cannot find from anywhere else in the world. It is the place where the east meats the west. Even though a lot has happened since the wall came down, you can still find both worlds in the city. Don't expect to find here cheerful south Germany type of beer lovers, but real, profound, even sad people. During my visits I have fallen in love for this city, and it has always offered me larger than life experiences.. |
