General tips on Living in Bahrain - Transportation
For transportation, there are several public bus routes (0.2 BD per trip), though it's quite rare.
Taxis (metered/unmetered/shared) are everywhere, it costs up to 2 BD for in-the-city trip.
Renting a car (150-170 BD/month for small car) is another choice. Buying car also is an option as car (new/used) are quite cheap here.
Also it's common for some companies to have a pick-up and drop-off transportation (usually by a van, shared with other staffs) from/to your job place and accommodation (pooling point).
