Vegas, Baby!

Rocky Mountains over Colorado
Going to Las Vegas in March was a smart thing to do. We booked our trip and with airfare and hotel the trip was under $500 a person. The weather in mid March was odd. We had clouds, sun and even rain! The temperature was somewhat warm, so dressing in layers is a good idea in case the sun comes out.

We stayed at the MGM Grand which was in a decent location as far as nearby attractions. New York, New York was just a walk away and the M&M store was right next to the hotel (a must for any chocolate lover)!

Walking the Strip is a good way to see the various hotels, but don’t expect to walk the entire thing. We walked from the MGM Grand down to the Venetian and thought our feet were going to fall off! To see the older section of the Strip, it would be best to take a taxi.

The hardest thing about Vegas is figuring out what you want to do. When you go with several people (like I did), the way to keep the peace is for everyone to pick one 'must do' activity that we all have to do. That way everyone feels satisfied. That worked out well with us ... except my 'must do' activity was to go to Club Utopia - which was closed. =(

.... More to come ...

Pros:"Lots to do, the strip at night, free drinks while gambling"
Cons:"Nightlife can be expensive (cover charges), all the walking can kill your feet!"
In A Nutshell:"What happens in Vegas really doesn't stay there ... since you have photographic evidence and all! ;-)"

The lions don't actually live at the MGM. They live on a huge ranch and "take turns" going to MGM and are there only for a day or so.
