Aberdeen ... I live right outside it and have for 18 years. It's known for being the birthplace of Cal Ripken Jr. (of the Baltimore Orioles). It's also known for Aberdeen Proving Ground (the military base). Oh, and it's known for me.
Okay, I lied about that last sentence.
Aberdeen is a town proud of Cal (there's a museum), proud of Cal's minor league team (the Ironbirds) and proud of it's large military family presense. |
