I recently visited New Orleans (3.31-4.2) - my first trip back post-Katrina. This was my fifth time back to my favorite city and I have much to write about. I want to create tips for New Orleans as it is now.

There are many, many great tips on VT for New Orleans pre-Katrina, but not a lot for how it is now. I often come to VT to help me research my trip before I take it and there are not a lot of pages that paint the picture of how the city is now.

I found Alan's page very helpful prior to my leaving for New Orleans. I just added my New Orleans trip tips. On that page, there is a link to the more detailed journal of my trip. I hope it sheds some light on what I saw.

Explanation of the picture to the right: No, I don't normally have "crazy eyes." My friend was messing around with the 'night' setting on my camera. He made night setting mistake #1 and moved while the picture was still in the process of being taken. Oops!

It's been two years since I've joined VT and this page is no further along than when I first started. For the time being, if you'd like to learn more about me visit my webpage, though it hasn't been updated in quite some time. My bad.

Other interesting facts about myself because you're just dying to know, I'm a huge music freak (my iPod would vouch for that) and when I'm not traveling and dreaming of traveling, I'm listening to music. It's obscene how much I love music. Seriously.

Oh, and in case you were wondering ... no, the new pages I'm working on will not all feature blurry pictures. I thought the picture to the left was funny (to me because I'm easily amused) because my friend snapped it after we'd been drinking a while.

Once again, he moved while the camera was still taking the picture. I think I need to sit down with him (next time I'm in Vienna) and have a little class on digital picture taking 101. =)
