Dubrovnik | Stari Grad Rakusa - Old City of Dubrovnik |
Autumn 2003 me and my husband visited one of the most beautiful and respected sights in Europe. Croatia is one of the former Yugoslavian countries. The people suffered a lot during the War in the 90'ies. During the aggressive attacks by the Yugoslavian Army, the Serbs and the Montenegrians, the Old City of Dubrovnik was mostly destroyed with bombs and fires. Fortunately its been able restore the buildings so the "Stari Grad" still has got the Magic Feelings of Old Times. You can sense the feeling as you walk through the City Gate! Croatian people are very friendly and hospitable and wellcome the visitor to their beautiful and stunning country. As you step close to these people and make friends, you'll hear the couraging stories of the hard times they had during the War - and you'll respect the country even more! |
