Rajasthan is a big state, with long stretches of territory between the most popular destinations. You could easily spend a month in Rajasthan alone.If you have limited time here, it's best to stay in one city and explore the surrounding area rather than try to rush through all the highlights. Jaipur, is pink city Palaces, Forts, Elephant ridge the state capital, is in the east (toward Delhi).In the northeast, between Jaipur and Delhi, the Shekhavati region is home to lovely painted havelis, Mandawa, Navalgarh, Dundlod, Mukangarh, Ramgarh, Mansher, the mansions of prosperous merchants house. The southern and eastern regions also have a number of first-rate wildlife parks Ranthombre National Park for Tiger, Bharatpur birds Park. The state's southwestern corner centers on Udaipur and Mount Abu, a hilly town of palaces, Temples and artificial lakes. Central Rajasthan is anchored by Jodhpur, home to a glorious fort of Mehrangarh and the eye-catching blue houses of the Brahmin caste. Western Rajasthan, largely given over to the Thar Golden Desert, can best be explored via camel or jeep from the golden city of Jaisalmer and Camel city Bikaner.
