"I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO, TOO!" San Francisco by travelgourmet

Some say it is the cable cars. Others the many hills. Many even say Fisherman's Wharf. A few claim it is Alcatraz Island. My view of the Golden Gate Bridge when the fog rolls in and the bridge fog horn sounds, that's when I say, "I must be in San Francisco".

This is a perfect city. The blend of cultures, the views of the bay, the vibrant daily work life, the fabulous array of ethnic foods, the many shopping districts, museums, monuments, parks, great transportation, the slapped together homes to save space, the wonderful night life, and the sounds of the clanging bell of the fabled cable cars.

Many have written great tips on San Francisco. I will not attempt to challenge or go in depth with all the many activities and things to do while in this city by the bay. I only will give my insight and tips on what one can do while visiting San Francisco for a few days. I chose my favorite things to see and do, to make sure that you get quality not quantity on the tips and reviews.

• Pros:You do seem to climb half way to the stars on cable cars.
• Cons:Difficult to walk up some of the steeper hill streets
