My grandmother's birth town Messina is a major city of Sicily. It is a large seaport. It is the birthplace of my maternal grandmother. Mt. Etna rises in the background as a guard to all that makes up Sicily. Messina has its charm, and it makes a wonderful stop before you start out to visit all of Sicily. Good hotels and wonderful food. Friendly people. |
