Cruising into Venice is about the only way to get to St. Marks Square from a tourist's viewpoint. No matter how you arrive, via plane, train, car, or boat, you will eventually have to go by water to get there. What an entrance! The sight before you is one that is hard to equal anywhere in the world. The overwhelming charm of water meeting buildings of exquisite design and magnitude is beyond words. You must personally experience the splendor of colors before you to understand the feeling. My wife's favorite city. |

Hope to be sailing from there next summer! | JLBG Tue May 5, 2009 05:48 UTC You very well transmit in your page the magic side of Venice and Burano. Believe it or not, I have not (yet!) been to Venice but will for sure follow you among the canals, on a gondola! | nichole_521 Wed Feb 20, 2008 00:43 UTC I remember getting off the train in Venice and thinking oh my goodness, this is like a movie. It was so surreal. Lovely pages, lovely pictures. :) | aussirose Sat Feb 9, 2008 04:55 UTC I love your writing style Larry! You make this city come alive...I can't wait to go!!
