Small hotel overlooking nothing but the Menai Straits and the Anglesey shoreline (very good for bird-watching from Bangor Pier). Bar, restaurant (didn't eat there so cannot comment), conservatory, gardens, parking (not quite enough, but plenty of space nearby).
My room was clean and comfortable enough, with a superb view (see photos). Teeny tiny telly (don't watch telly, so it didn't matter), hot water hot enough, bed comfy, room warm (though it was a warm couple of days). Breakfast (standard UK, juice/tea/coffee/cereal/sundry fried bits/toast) was ok, served in the conservatory (east-facing).
A big problem for some would be the number of steps; more than 10 to Reception, over 70 to my room (at the very top of the house on the right of the photo, which is part of the hotel). I didn't mind, but many would (and the website doesn't really make this clear).
It's a bit expensive for what it is, really (48GBP single, 75GBP double); I got a special offer, otherwise I wouldn't have considered it. A good base for exploring the area for a couple of nights, certainly, and there's no doubt that it's very well-situated and quiet.
