"Second Home" Targoviste by jdburke42

The place I called home for nearly two years. Targoviste is rich in History and Culture, and despite the multitude Communist Blocs that line the streets there are sights to be seen. The first stop the agenda of most is the infamous Princely Court and home of the real Dracula Vlad Tepes (the Imapler). Modern Historian may be intrigued by the execution site of Romania’s Communist leader Nicolae Ceacescu. A visit here requires a walk through the small Historic Center where travelers can stumble on to a local favorite restaurant Casa Veche. As many places in southern Romania, Targoviste does offer a few gems, but they are certainly hidden in the rough left behind by over 40 years of communist rule.
