I was a short getaway for me besides visiting Ayutthaya. An hour train ride away you could see another ancient city of Siam, earlier to that of Ayutthaya. I spent about 2 hours there to find beautiful sunflowers even though it was winter season in Thailand.
Of course, there is more to sunflowers. Due to aching feet and lack of sleep I had to miss the Bat Cave and the Monkey cave/temple (if i remembered that correctly) . If you happen to visit the Monkey Cave/temple, please avoid bringing food and anything that attract the attention of the michieveous monkeys.
The place looks less busy than Ayutthaya and on my way to the sunflower fields, you come across shops that sell motorbikes and some extoic monuments. |
