Ayutthaya - Old Capital of Thailand

Rama VII, IX, XI and ruins
This is the city which speaks of the country's past. Much of what other travelers said is true. The parts of the ruins that are build using bricks are actually "touched up" to renact how the city looked like in the past.
A visit to the museum tells the life of the people that lived in this city.
This place has lovely weather and you should try one of the local desert too - it's called the loti saimai, and it's only available in Ayutthaya. Try it!

Project Aegis 2003

Thailand was one of my best trip ever. Perhaps it was the purpose of the trip that makes it a memorable one- community service project. Consruction of a school for the local children were one of them. Interaction and games played together with the children broke down the verbal communication barrier.

Check out tales of my 3 weeks stay in the village Bang Luang, in the Town of Bang Sena in Project Aegis

and waking up earlier to catch a typical morning in the village in Bang Luang
Light and Sound Festival - be enchanted

Light and Sound Festival

At night, do not forget to check out this special spot. The musical. It tells the history of Ayutthaya. Not forgetting the fireworks too. LOVELY sight. Music and people dancing, and see real elephants performing in this musical too! Amazing.
