| Welcome to Indian Rocks Beach |
| | Indian Rocks Beach is on an island south of Clearwater Beach and north of St. Pete Beach in Pinellas County, Florida. Just across the bay from Tampa, it is a nice place for a beach get-a-way vacation. There are several small motels, low-rise condos, timeshare properties and cottages can be rented. It is a nice family oriented vacation area. |
| | "This stone marks the Western end of the first swing bridge to the mainland. The hand operated toll bridge was built as a private venture by Robert C. and Don L. McMullen and James Hardage and was opened Thanksgiving Day 1918. The bridge served as a gateway to the beaches until 1958."
This picture looks toward the mainland side of where the old Indian Rocks swingbridge was located and is taken from the island terminus side. |
