East Coast USA

by MCIFARETTO - last update: May 27, 2004

Our travel history.

My family and I are avid travelers of the east coast. My wife and I took our first trip together on our honeymoon to Aruba and enjoyed a beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel on the beach. I think if we ever go back it will be the hotel that takes us there again. The island didn’t impress us for the most part.
Our first family trip (with kids) brought us to North Carolina to with stops in – Williamsburg VA and Sky Line Drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains as a stop over. I have been the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA many times and I never get tired of the views or the Skyland Lodge. The Skyland lodge www.americanparknetwork.com/parkinfo/sh/lodging - a great place to stay if you can get a room in the older section of the hotel. The following year we ended up in Disney World in July and I don’t think I will ever go back that time of year (too hot and the crowds are too large. We frequent the Jersey shore often and love Cape May. Cape May is a Victorian town with some of the most beautiful homes you will ever see along with the best beaches on the east coast. Renting on the ocean is very nice in that town and the crowds are not as large as Wildwood or Atlantic City. I think lasts years trip to the New England states was one of the best we ever took. With two nights in Stow VT at the Grey Fox Inn www.stowegreyfoxinn.com (a great town) and two nights in Jackson NH at the Jackson Lodge www.lodgeatjacksonvillage.com and my favorite two nights in Camden Maine at the Country Inn www.countryinnmaine.com - we had a great time. The Camden harbor is one of the most beautiful harbors I have ever seen - can't wait to get back. Our last stop over on the New England trip was our second visit to Boston ( Wyndham Hotel ) You can see my reviews of a few of these hotels on Trip Advisor. I think Boston is probably the best city on the east coast with Philadelphia a close second and NY City third.
This year we will be in our long time dream Key West FL. Our views of the best could change or not.
