This is the hill where the Phoenicians founded Alis Ubbo (Lisbon) in 1200 b.C. After, the city was named Olissipo (by the Greeks); Felicitas Julia (by the Romans); and Al-Lixbûnâ (by the Arabs) before becoming Lisboa, capital of the Kingdom of Portugal, the oldest Nation of Europe.
On the top of the hill is the Castle of São Jorge (48 b.C) conquered in 1147 by D. Afonso Henriques, the first Portuguese King
Lisbon is spread over 7 hills - Senhora do Monte, Santa Catarina, Estrela, Sao Pedro Alcantara, Penha de Franca, Graca and Sao Jorge. Each of seven hills offers a panoramic view of the city.

Rossio otvoren? Wow - stvari se mijenjaju velikom brzinom. Drago mi je vidjeti da vam je hotel bio OK. A i baccalhau izgleda..... mljac. Vratit cu se kad stranica bude pri kraju, sada idem put Spljeta grada.
