In Gruyeres is climbing everywhere!!! The medieval town and castle of Gruyères is situated in the Swiss Pre-Alps between the Moléson mountain and the Dent de Broc peak. The medival wall of protection is still intact and thus no new buildings have been placed there and no cars can be seen. The area attracts many visitors from around the world.
This small village and surrounding area produce the best known and most abundant Swiss cheese which is named for the town. |
