Macau caught me by surprise, its more than what I expected of it (I dont have high hopes initially), its much more than casinos and churches.
Macau, a commonwealth of China, (similar to Hongkong) is one of the oldest European settlements in Asia.
The street names, the roads (cobble stones), and architecture are all Portuguese. The food is a fusion of Chinese and Portuguese cuisines..
The people are genuinely friendly and helpful even if some are not proficient in English language. |
