I decided to visit Estonia to meet my longtime e-friend Brit. At the same time, a friend of Brit - Liis - was also receiving the visit of her e-pal Robert, an American guy. The three friends - Brit, Liis and Helen - decided to schedule an Estonian Tour around the Country that lasted for 10 days: some of them spent at Tallinn and the rest throughout Estonia. And I found Estonia to be a very Green country...and I made some more friends, great friends! :) From left to right on the photo you can spot Helen, Brit, Liis and Robert.
Tallinn's Old Town is a wonderfull place to visit! The Town Walls are well conserved, the buildings are wisely coloured, the gardens are refreshing and there is a small cafe everywhere you need it! There are some sightseeing spots you can access and have a comprehensive view over the city.
We have traveled through the reminder of Estonia for 6 days and we have visited several places like the Castle of Rakvere, the lakes of Rouge, the river Ahja, Tartu and its University, Parnu and its sandy beaches, the Island of Manilaid and the Monestary of Hapsaalu. As Portuguese and used to the ease of communication in Southern Europe, the first days in Estonia were though, as the people keep a lot to themselves and are not very smiley...but in the end...I could even get some hugs! :)
- Pros:The politeness of people, the woderfull landscapes and Tallinn Old Town
- Cons:If you are used to an easy going life style you will have a hard time in the beggining: people are shy, keep to them selves, and follow all the rules (don't even think about crossing the street at red light, even if there is no traffic!)
- In a nutshell:Green Paradise...

Very interesting travelogues. Thanks for sharing! What a great opportunity to actually travel around the country with locals.
A nice Estonia page - such a beautiful and unspoiled country. I wonder if we met each other as I was there during August 02, too...
