One of Sighisoara's Legends and other Sighisoara, Romania Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

As we combined a trip for pleasure with some professional interest, we went to see some of the accomodation availabile in Sighisoara. "Legenda" house was one of them. Since they were almost full we were able to see the first room called "the old room" with lots of oraments full of memories. The room looked cozy and why not, romantic. From what they told us, there is also "the contess room", dedicated to the count's Vlad the Impaler sweetheart with whom a legend says that he had a hidden love-story. Other unique rooms are "the medieval room", "the green room" and "the dowry room".

Unique Qualities: Everything it's unique in "Legenda" House, especially the romantic scent and scenery. As they are almost fully booked most of the time, try to make your reservation in advance.

As most of the places in Sighisoara, Casa Wagner is unique too. You won't find two identical rooms and the gothic architecture and the authentic saxon furniture takes u back in time to the counts' and contesses' mysterious times.

Unique Qualities: Great place to stay, eat and listen to music :)

I was most impressed by this place not because of Prince Charles' stay there, but because the people working there were amazing. They welcomed us, took us around to see all the facillities and even showed us a room that it is being restaured now, unique in Europe...If you want to see it, don't miss this place! The House with Stag is located on the square in the heart of the mediaeval citadel and it's a certified historical monument. It has it's name from the mural painting that represents a stag's body in a natural size on both facades that has been discovered and restaured recently. This building is one of the oldest in the citadel and the most interesting from an architectural point of view as it has suffered repeated and profound transformation in the course of history. From a first wooden house in the 13th century to the complex bulding of the 17th , mentioned in documents in the early 1500, restored after the great fire in 1676 and finished in 1693 it became what it is now thanks to the Messerschmit Foundation Munchen i.e a Romanian-German Cultural Centre.

Unique Qualities: The rooms are big, outstanding, elegant and thinking of what I've seen, the word that comes to my mind is DISTINCTION. They combined the old architecture with modern bathrooms, you have a lot of space and the atmosphere is designed to make you feel welcome. The house also offers conference rooms for up to 30 participants, restaurant, cafe, confectionery with own gastronomy and don't even think to miss the chees-cake it's a delice!
