    • You’ll find upper-class hotels along the coast line, but they’re very expensive.
    Something else is hard to find and when you find it, they’re mostly crappy.
    Inside the country you can chose between crappy and dirty.
    But there is always the possibility to ask somebody to stay overnight, if you pay a small fee.

    Bakau Guesthouse: Cheap sleeping facilities.

    • This guesthouse has got large singles and doubles, with a communal kitchen. The compound is a bit rundown.

    Crocs Guesthouse: Cheap sleeping facilities

    • This is the cheapest place in the area and located near the Kachikaly Crocodile Pool.
    You can cook yourself or order your meals in advance.

    Plaza Hotel: Cheap sleeping facilities

    • The Plaza hotel is one of the cheapest sleeping facilities in Basse .
    It’s located near the main square, so it could be noisy sometime.

     Hoping to travel to The Gambia next Spring to work with the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust.Just wondering where's the nearest airport and whats the best transport from there to Gambia? Would be based in the region of the village of Sambel Kunda.great page!
