Salaam Aleikum

by Wafro - last update: Sep 13, 2005

Honestly, I don’t know what to think about Senegal.
I’ve got mixed emotions, when I think back at my journey over there.
The Eastern part of the country was so exclusive, relaxed, memorable and fascinating.
-Tambacounda
-Niokolo Koba
-Velingara

All places I could return at.
But the coastal areas where so sad, bumsters, OVER fanatic Muslims(taalibe of extreme brotherhoods), thieves and coastlines full of resorts.
The southern part is completely different, when you compare it with the rest of the country.
The Casamance region is a green and very fertile region, but it's also the scene of armed separatist rebels, so you better watch out when you're travelling alone.

I'm going to Senegal very soon, and I hope your tips will be as helpful as mine have been to you (as you say). What about malaria profylax, did you take any?
