San Pedro Beach-Côte d'Ivoire
The Ivory Coast or Cote d'Ivoire once was a relative stable autocratic state, under the supervision of Felix Houphouet Boigny.
But when "Le Vieux" died, the country sank away in a whirlpool of ethnical twists.
One day all the people live in harmony and the other day, they start killing each other.
But after all I can assure you that traveling in the Ivory Coast is a magnificent experience.
Even if there're sometime some local problems.
By the way: The Ivory Coast harbors the last big remaining rainforests of West Africa.
Street market-Adjamé
And when you like African music, Abidjan is the place to be.
Everywhere in this Metropolis you'll hear music and people producing beats.
At the street markets you'll hear the ladies singing,BUT they can also sell you everything: cars, watches, radios, cosmetics, shoes, fruit and even bushmeat (viande de brousse), don't buy or eat it, they have enough other culinary specialties.
Kids near Man

List of the major ethnics in the Ivory Coast.

Akan
Kru
Senoufo
Mande
Dioula
Burkinabe
Lebanese
French.

When you're at the countryside you'll see that everything is much more relaxed, the people are helpful and polite. And the kids always looking for a white man to play with.
