EUSKADI

Euskadi (as they call it over there), is a region located for 3/4 in the north-west of Spain and 1/4 in the south-west of France, with the Pyrenees in between the two countries.
This area has got a very rich and old culture.
They even got their own language.
That's why I don't make any difference between the French and Spanish part of the region, they're both BASQUE country.
LET US HOPE, THAT ONE DAY, THEY'LL BE REUNITED AGAIN!!!
So the separatist freedom fighters of Euskadi Ta Askatasuna, can stop their battle.
There're already too many innocent people jailed and killed.

Now something completely different..THE CLIMATE

San Sebastian(Spain)

The climate is ideal, when you compare it with other parts of Europe.
Almost the whole year round, you'll have temperatures above 18c.
And during the summer months temperatures can reach 40 degrees and more.
Pffff..
But you can always cool down in the mountains where the temperatures are a few degrees lower.
And during the winter months, it's possible to find snow over there.

GEOGRAPHY

Basque Country is a region devided between two states, France and Spain, consisting of 20,664 square kilometres at the western end of the Pyrenees on the Bay of Biscay. It consists of seven traditional provinces Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Araba and Nafarroa in Spain (Pais Vasco) and Lapurdi, Nafarroa Beherea and Zuberoa in France (Pays Basque).
