Chapter 1: The Nitty Gritty

UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION!! I am working hard to get everything up in a timely fashion, so please bear with me for the next few weeks. Photos will go up, text will follow soon. Sorry for the delays!

Hi! Welcome to my VT Page. I hope that what you find here is useful for planning your own trips. Before I left on my recent vacation to Italy and France, I read a ton of entries from fellow VT members and gained so much useful information--I hope that I can return the favor.
Obviously everyone's opinion of certain places are highly biased, so I will quickly reveal my own biases so that you may take my info with a grain of salt!
I tend to like the smaller cities as opposed to the countryside or huge metropolises. For sights, I would much rather go to a more obscure museum than to the Louvre...specialized exhibits on one artist or topic are my favorites. I love architecture and tend to take photos of building details, rather shots with a huge scope...so, if doors and windows are boring to you I apologize! You may not find my images too great then...
I like the beaten path and visiting cities that don't see a lot of tourists (I know, I know, who doesnt?) and hate crowds and congestion. Hence, I hated Florence, but loved Ferrara which has no real "blockbuster" sight.

Thanks so much for the comment on Trattoria al Trebbio. We followed your recommendation on Valentine's day and also found the food to be one of our all time best!
