Getting TO/AROUND: Amtrak no longer has trains going to Boise, so driving or flying here is your best bet. The Boise airport was recently remodeled and expanded and is rather nice now, although still relatively small. It no longer looks terribly outdated, and there’s more than one place to grab a bite to eat, although they’re mostly fast food places. If you're flying here in the winter, like around Christmas time, there could be significant delays due to fog. Not always, but it's happened to me more than once! There are numerous regional airlines and several major ones that fly here, as follows: Alaska Airlines Horizon Air United Northwest Southwest Delta America West Frontier Sky West Continental Express

Brehone Fri Feb 9, 2007 15:05 UTC Hi, Your Boise pages bring back lots of memories for me. I lived in Nampa for about 10 years and also now live in Seattle. I love the Brick Oven Beanery! | 807Wheaton Fri Dec 30, 2005 02:57 UTC Enjoyed your page - I was wondering about the Basque influence in Boise. Greetings from Augusta, Georgia. | bugalugs Tue Jul 12, 2005 18:27 UTC I first heard the name Boise in a film years and years ago (I think it was with Doris Day!) then I saw it on a map the other day, so thanks for telling me something about it. I probably say 'Boyzee' :-) | iwys Mon May 9, 2005 17:11 UTC Great page. I am a big Broncos fan, which is kind of weird for a guy from England. I don't like the blue turf though. |
