I Love Sweden!

by emilienoelle - last update: Nov 22, 2005

View of Stockholm from the Baltic
The very minute that I arrived in Stockholm I felt like I had known the place my entire life, which is difficult to explain because I had never been there, nor do I have even an ounce of Swedish blood in me. All the same, I fell in love with the place in just seconds. It is surely one of the most gorgeous and civilized cities I have ever visited. One thing that I found wonderful about Stockholm, and Sweden in general, is that it is the only place I have ever been in my life where I felt "invisible". All the women there looked like me! Right down to their hairstyles and clothing. This made me feel very safe and secure and like I could do anything there. It was a great feeling, very comforting.

Royal Guards

These guards are stationed at several points around the Swedish royal palace. They yell at you if you accidentally get too close to one of them. What you can't tell immediately by looking at them is that they are mostly all women.

Swans

There were many beautiful swans on the lake in Stockholm who hung around hoping for hand outs of snacks from passersby. They were very tame and friendly.

I agree -- Sibylla is very good for a fast food place! I ate at one in Helsinki. I think Sibylla should think about expanding to the USA. Best from New Jersey, Bill
