I've been to Pulau Tioman (Pulau in Malay means island) 7 times simply because it's 1 of the nearest island from Singapore in Malaysia and it provides snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities with good underwater visibilities unlike Singapore waters.

Turtled-shaped Pulau Tioman, 20km long & 11km wide, affords a variety of activities not found on most of the east coast's other islands. Visitors can snorkel & dive in the clear waters, laze around on white-sand beaches & explore the rugged trails of the interior.

Back in the late 1950s Hollywood got wind of Tioman & famously made it the setting for the mythical Bali Hai in the film South Pacific. Later, in the 1970s, Time magazine proclaimed it one of the world's 10 most beautiful islands.

i used a nikon 5900 but i spent 500 on an ikelite casing.. i should learning diving one of these days...do check out my ko khai and ko similan pages..
