Taking the bus - Miami Beach

Taking the bus

Not real efficient

The bus transportation in Miami
has little to boast
compared to the ones in Europe.

You may wind up transfering
more than once
on very long routes.

The only efficient routes
are the ones that cross the
Miami Downtown-South Beach-Adventura.

There are several lines that
run infront of Bayside onto
Washington Avenue
going up Collins Avenue
and stopping at
the shopping mall of Adventura.

Make sure that you have in change
the exact bus fare of $1.25.
$1 bills are exepted.
All change, except pennies are accepted.

You must load onto the bus at
the designated bus stops.

If you are unaccostomed to
the air conditioning
bring a sweater,
it gets chilly in there.

Come and get it!!! - Miami Beach

Come and get it!!!

Parking on South Beach

Parking on South Beach can be a bit of a pain.

Most areas after a certain hour,
are zoned for residential parking,
and if you don’t have a pass,
it is almost sure to get towed.

If that is the case,
there are basically 2
tow companies on the beach.

1) Beach Towing Services
1349 Dade Blvd.
Tel. 305-534-2128

2) Tremont Towing
1916 Bay Road
Tel. 305-672-2395

The guidelines to retrieve your car are:

1) You need to present a license, passport,
or some other sort of picture ID.

2) A valid proof of ownership

3) Title or registration of vehicle

Payments must be done in cash,
money order, cashiers check, or travelers checks.
Personal checks must follow their guidelines.

There is an ATM at the window.
How convenient!

This will probably total over $100.

For those of you with a temper
and plan to kick the towing companies ass

NOTE:

all City of Miami Beach Police Officers
are authorized to advise any person to leave
these premises.

Failure to vacate the premises
after being instructed
may result in arrest for:

TRESSPASS AFTER WARNING
Florida State Statue 81009

So park it where you should,
or you are almost for sure to come
and visit the towing company.

I want to ride a bicycle - Miami Beach

I want to ride a bicycle

Riding around the Art Deco District

Miami Beach is real small
and a lot of walking can be done.
But a better way
of making the most of your day,
is renting a bicycle.

From South Point to 41st Street,
one can peddle one's way
through the multi-pastel colors
of the Art Deco buildings,
roller bladers in bikini tops
and tiny, hot shorts,
or towards the
multi-million dollar mansions.

Just make sure to lock your bike,
when stopping to get a drink
at Lincoln Road
or the many other places to see.

Bike rentals are found at:

The Bicycle Shop
on Washington and 5th

Smile and tell them Andrea sent you.
