Clowne, a name to amuse but just another little ex mining village fighting to regenerate itself.
With the arrival of a new 24 Hour Tesco Superstore the future looks bright. It would appear also that the best mobile reception is from Orange. What more could the new commuter want. For yes Clowne now has several new bijou estates (off Boughton Lane) of yuppy housing, with golf course views attracting mobile proffessionals who work in nearby metropolises like Sheffield just 20 minutes away by car. Some new homes are to let at reasonable rents of around ?430 to ?500 p.c.m.
Clearly a village on the UP for the diserning.
- Pros:near M1, Super chippy, new Tesco, affordable excellent housing
- Cons:none, unless you are a Sainsbury's fan
