Point Lonsdale Lighthouse. | Point Lonsdale Lighthouse |
Situated on a bluff overlooking The Rip, which is the narrow entrance to Port Phillip Bay. This is a fully automated working lighthouse. There are some interesting webcams positioned round here. You can cut and paste this address into your browser window for Pt. Lonsdale lighthouse cams.

Day trippers and picnicers are the main visitors here.
There are short walking tracks in between look-out points and the seaward beaches or the lighthouse.
Grassy shaded areas for picnic lunches and play.

| | The Rip. This is a very narrow entrance, (3.5km between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale), with a narrow shipping channel through the middle that joins Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait.
