Arcachon is a typical seaside resort with great beaches and lots of hotels. It became popular in the mid 19th century when the positive effect of the sea air against lung diseases was discovered and the rich and famous of that time went there on their holidays.
And also today it's one great choice with lots to see & do in the vicinity. |

Glad you had a good visit to Arcachon. We used to go camping in that area when our children were younger, so I know the region but not Arcachon itself. |
