Hello! 8 of us this time. We were planning for a Scafell Pike weekend! and before I blah on, we did it! Got to the top and still standing ehhehehe! Scafell is not the easiest of all hikes, be prepared for the changeable weather :) We were extremely lucky to have such great sunny day! (sunburned thou!) hiking poles if you are not the fittest! I had 2 poles with me :P
Truly wonderful place, this is somewhere I would come back time and time again!

Keswick 2004

19th to 23rd March 2004.13 friends and me traveled up to Keswick from London. and it has taken over 10 hours, so pls do not attempt to travel on a FRIDAY ever (think of M1.. then M6?)! Anyway Keswick is beautiful with nice mountains with snowy caps, people are friendly, the town center is easy to navigate to. It has so many hiking stores there, so if you forget your hiking poles, you bound to be able to find the right ones at the right prices!

Striding Edge - Aug 2006

I *quite* like hiking; I like the beautiful sceneries after a long, (life-threathening) uphill walk (or struggle). I enjoy the peaceful-ness in the mountains. I like how tranquil it *appears* to be when you are about 900m above sea level... But look at this photo. It defies reality!!

This pic has been taken by a friend of mine, we were hiking in Lake District in August. Not in the best weather, but we had fun :P

Pros:"Great views, good hikes!"
Cons:"Weather is changeable"
In A Nutshell:"Keswick, home of 3rd highest hike (Scarfell Pike)"
