I chose the title after the name of the safari we made there.

route:
flight from Mombasa to the border of Tanzania (Namanga: near the Mount Kilimanjaro)
Border - Tarangire Ntl Park (1. night)
Tarangire - Ngorongoro Crater (2. night)
Ngorongoro - Serengeti (3. night)
Serengeti - Ngorongoro (4. night)
Ngorongoro - Lake Manjara (5. night)
Lake Manjara - Border Kenya - Mombasa%c3

Stamps and Visa

Stamps and Visa for the Entrance into Tanzania.
For the Visa it was told to us, it must be paid in advance. 70 Swiss Francs was it. I think.
Obviously you could also do it right there at the border.
And the customs officer was very astounded how much we paid (at his own embassy, I have to say), well.....
no comment.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Wonderful land, wide and wild, beutiful animals
Cons:Sometimes very far distances, bad roads (going to be better, soon)
In a nutshell:A must see for every safari - fan.

A fantastic page on your Tanzanian experiences - one of my favourite African countries! Don't worry about paying money to the Masai for photos, I had to do it even in 1981. By the way, your airplane was a rugged Canadian-built Twin Otter!
