Now this is an area in Africa I could stay longer. The surrounding is very green, but not really tropical. Lots of forests and mixed with more exotic plants like Aloe Trees and such.
Also the Landscape is varied. Here you find Waterfalls and Canyouns, Water mills in the stone of the River bed and wonderful Viewpoints down the Canyon of the Blyde River. Long hikes invite the nature lover to explore more of this area.
As you can see, water plays a big part here. It was also raining when we visited this place. - I did not mind. |

Your excellent photos bring back good memories of this area. It was quite dry when I was there, the Falls were not so spectacular but the views were! So that's what Long Tom Pass was named after! | pepples46 Tue May 9, 2006 21:44 UTC S.A. is still missing on my map:-( looks very tempting to put it there. fine tips here, excellent idea to buy from the people, cutting out the middleman. by the way, I know a cat down the road, called Berlin :-)tks for Alice |
