| Desert Elefant, Damaraland |
A part that many tourist just let lie -well- on the left side, and head right into Etosha instead. A big mistake, since there is so much to see and do here.
Twyfelfountain and the Petroglyphes - kind of an open air art museum.
The desert elefants roam through this stony area.
The Brandberg (burned mountain) and the basalt Organ pipes.
The petrified forest (wit the Welwitchia)
Even farther north: the Epupa Falls and the Himba. (this is something for my next trip here). |
