Why does anyone go to holidays on the Maldives? It sure is not for the history or culture - there are no ancient ruins, Not for big city sightseeing or shopping, -the one big city they have is Male, and that is easily covered in one day. Not for mountain climbing - the highest elevation is about 3 m over sea level, if you want to go higher, you could consider climbing a pallm tree. Not for hiking: you won't get far on these tiny islands.
You come here for two things: relaxation and diving.
Hundreds of islands with thousands of beaches invite you to come and lie on them. In the water you find a diversity of sea life that is unique. |
