My, I have seldom had worse weather when travelling in Australia ... it was raining like ... I have seldom seen something like it.
So our first plan to go out to the islands just went "splash". Second plan was made up fast when driving by a sign advertising the Airlie Wildlife Park. The "barfoot bushman"'s zoo. This guy is also well known in small switzerland via his nature TV shows about australians wildlife. So I wanted to see it.
Said and done.
I really enjoyed it. He was there himself, making tours and explaining.

For us it was only I bad-weather decision but I really enjoyed this Wild-life Park. Only later I learned in TV how... more travel advice

I am happy I found your tip! Being a big fan too of the barefoot bushman TV programs, I want to go see his crocodile farm when I go to Australia in 2006! Great page!
Would love to see more...I loved the Whitsundays... Unfortunately we didn't get to the zoo...
