Elephants at Addo - Addo Elephant National Park

If you have not seen enough Elephants, or if these grey Giants interest you, this is the place to go.

Addo Elephant Park has over 300 Elephants. Number growing.

Also it has Rhinoceros, Antelopes, Ostriches etc etc.

Here also you can go game viewing from your own vehicle.
They have lookout points at several waterholes.
At night, there is a lighted waterhole.
There are walking trails (but in a special safety reserve inside the park)
They also offer guided Game drives.

Gate hours: 7.00 - 19.00 throughout the year.

Tourist Accomodations:
Six bed guest cottages, each with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen
Four-bed Cottage
Bungalows
Forest huts
Camping for Caravan and camp.

Picnic Area, Restaurant, Shop.

Do NOT bring any citrus fruits!

Fantastic Elephants :) very nice park, I did saw lots of in the Kruger but pity I did not have the time for this one, maybe the next time.

I enjoyed revisiting Addo through your pictures and tips. I understand your mom's feelings when she just wanted you to drive when surrounded by elephants. I felt the same way.

Excellent photos and tips on the Elephants of Addo!! I would love to get back to a game park again! Oh yes, those earthen roads get very slippery when wet! I remember driving on them in Zambia - just like on ice in Canada!!

I am planning a trip to Kenya this fall but I am going there mostly for the eles and this park is making me rethink everything!!! Anymore info you can share would be appriciated!!!!
