Namib-Naukluft Park Travel Guide: 143 reviews and 397 photos
One big National Park from Swakopmund south to Lüederitz.
Located at the Atlantic Ocean but dry as a bone.
The highest sand dunes you can find on the world. (See Soussouvlei),
Diamond fields - unfortunately not for you to see..
You would think that such a stretch of dry land would be boring, but you are wrong.
Nowhere else the desert has such a wonderful face. The colors the dunes have in the early morning, the wide, open landscape, the plants (eg the miraculous welwitchia) and the animals that survive here... all this makes this a beautiful place in this earth.

Namibia is for me the DUNES COUNTRY!!! :) HAHAHAHA I would love also tosee the Skeleton Coast!;)
Another great page!
Hopefully they will do this from the camp I will be staying at! Thanks for all the tips! Nigel
Enjoyable reading with good photos, it's obvious you enjoyed your Namibia visit. I look forward to reading about the Maldives.
I think someone was reading your pages and took action because the Sussusvlei road is now real smooth and a pleasure to drive :-) Great pages!
Another very enjoyable page of your 'off the beaten path' experiences in Africa! You always seem to do very interesting things! Excellent tips and pics - we are still planning our trip!
Personally I loved Soussosvlei and the dunes there, I didn't mind the road access, the dunes more than made up for it! Great pictures of the dunes!
Mmmm, what a nature experience. Love the Tent idea & guest house accommodation. It's nice to experience things first hand. Lovely page Corinne. Ann :o)
Great tips showing that beauty can be found in some what we call the World's most desolate places - it just takes the discerning eye.
