"Glass House Mountain Road" Glass House Mountains National Park by Myndo

These Mountains were actually vulcanos once.
They stand like monolithes in a else very flat landscape.
Their name comes from the slightly shiny surface.

They make an interesting view
and are another good opportunity to leave Highway No. 1

    Whoa. I have been nagging G for yonks to add this location because they are my favourite bit of Australia (nearly) and I hadn't noticed he had added it. Great!

    Wow! I haven't seen the Glasshouse Mtns in absolute yonks! Mind you they do stand out so much as there's not too much of anything interesting for miles around. lol! Thanks 4 showing them to me again Corinne.
