I know this picture does look a little gloomy, but don't be scared off.
The weather changed shortly after (to the better), and it was a great feeling, like driving through a fairy-tale forest.
Buchan is the entrance to this charming and wild Hinterland (back-country).
The roads are mostly gravel, but in good condition.
You also don?t see many cars the further you get.
Also it is not so easy to get an accomodation.
But let me tell you, the experiences are great.
I heard about how this area is a big winter resort. I can't tell about this, but it makes a wonderful hiking area and "off the beaten path" place in summer! |
