Travel in general

Well I can not imagine not travelling! I seem to be lucky enough to travel far and wide and reasonably frequently! Thanks also to the willingness of my husband and daughter!-but it is a costly hobby and I always shop around for the best deals for both cheap getaways and luxurious stays!
I hope always to be fit and healthy to travel and to be able to find the money to make it to my dream destinations!
What I love...in no order...
Weather and the changing of the seasons
Snow Snow and Snow
Going somewhere new
Food and Wine
My gorgeous dog Starla,(shiba Inu)and my 4 cats!
Watching wildlife
Peace and quiet
My wonderful daughter and husband

A life full of travelling

I was lucky that when I was a little girl my family too liked travelling,my father a long distance lorry driver thought nothing of taking me out of school for an 'educational drive' in his lorry to another part of Britain! and I was happy to sit and watch the scenery change! My sister however was not keen- and to this day (after leaving home) has only left the country on a couple of occasions and to my horror does not, now have a passport!!!
When we were younger dad converted a 52 seater coach and we spent 3-4 weeks a year travelling Europe! I know its a bit 'summer holiday' and hippy but me sister and I were the only kids at school who saw most of Europe! and to this day I thank mum and dad for encouraging me to read the maps and look out of the windows and notice how beautiful the world is! It could be scary too-not many people got stopped and searched at borders more than us!! well we did look odd!!

What a large world to see!

The world is so big and vast,you hear so many people say that they have 'done' a country when you know they have just visited a resort! I have 'done' no countries but travelled through many and visited many, but the countries are all changing and evolving.One of my fave destinations is Bali I first visited in 1988 and to see it now-full of huge resorts and hotels is amazing! Luckily Bali is one place that outside the main resorts life goes on much the same as it did 50 years ago.

I have had some superb travels! I have not really disliked anywhere I have been and it all goes down in experience! There is good and bad in all countries and travel experiences-I try to see the best in every situation!
So my fave travels...again in no order
BALI-Beautiful scenery and people I really feel at home here
NEW ENGLAND-Honeymoon in the fall! love Cape cod beaches and whale watching,the colours of the leaves and 1st snow in the mountains!
AUSTRALIA-Never thought I would see this amazing country I still
wonder if I really was there?
TUSCANY-food and wine heaven
FRANCE-loads of holidays- Paris still a fave
SCOTLAND-peaceful yearlyl winter breaks
RUSSIA-amazing 'though it was many years ago!
NORFOLK BROADS-Summer weekends spent on our boat- Bliss if the weather is good!

Take me there!!!!

Where do I want to go....again no order....
the MALDIVES-prefer 5* luxury........-keep saving!!!
EGYPT-been to the red sea now want to see the pyramids and Nile!
VANCOUVER-and area- fancy seeing the wildlife! BEARS??
STOCKHOLM-always looks lovely and am a keen Abba fan!!
NEW YORK-even got friends there!!
CHINA-great wall ??!!
INDIA-this looks a bit of an adventure
POLYNESIA-some island ,quite fancy island life
YORK-yep its just up the road but there always seems somewhere cheaper or better!!!

This has taken over a lot of my life so I hope you all enjoy my few pages 'Cos it takes forerver! I shall try to take more photos and scan some older ones to add to my content!
I try to check out some of the VT every day!! But the computer is becoming more demanding than my work family or pets!!!

Hello . I lived in Norwich 4 years. I see you love cats too. I am with you on wanting to see New York. Did not get time this year for a boat trip on the Broads. Hopefully next summer.
