"Moab - Gateway to Arches and Canyonlands" Moab by AcornMan
Moab Travel Guide: 391 reviews and 991 photos
If you do an internet search for photos of Moab, you'll see lots of amazing rock formations and breathtaking landscapes. In reality, Moab is a touristy little place full of hotels, restaurants, and tacky shops, with a few tasteful places in sprinkled about. In short, you don't come to Moab to be in Moab. You come to Moab because of all the amazing things to do and see outside the city limits. If you want to visit Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, this is the place to stay. Just do yourself a favor and spend as little time in Moab itself as possible.
- Pros:Convenient gateway to Arches, Canyonlands, and more
- Cons:Touristy, tacky, crowded
