Krakow is a wonderful city. No trip to Poland would be complete without going there.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Compact, easy to get around on foot, lots of nice architecture (especially churches)
  • Cons:Very crowded
  • In a nutshell:There's a lot to see in Krakow crammed into a very small area

St.Mary's is the last word. Agreed. St.Adelbert's is rather precious as well. All of Krakow deserves examination and full immersion. Loved it. thanks for the interior pics which I didn't get.

Hi, David; enjoyed your pix and comments about Krakow and Warszawa. Planning a trip there for August with relatives born there before WWII. How did you find inexpensive accommodation? Would car rental be feasible for a group of 5 or 6? TIA.

You certainly made the most of 2 days here, well done! Super tips - I've never even heard of green or red amber until now. Fabulous shot of that mosaic on the Franciscan church, too!

David, outstanding work. The Auschwitz pages were especially excellent. So many beautiful churches...you'll photos are superior. Thanks for such a thorough tour.
